9 terrorists heading to Kenya to launch fierce attacks – Police

Police have issued an alert following reports that about nine al Shabaab terrorists were heading into the country to launch several fierce attacks.

Confirming the warning, Police Spokesman George Kinoti stated that they had received intelligence that the al Shabaab militants were planning the ambush.

“They are reported to be on the way to Kenya or already here to launch attacks from within,” police indicated.

Photos and names of the nine have been handed to the police and Mr Kinoti highlighted that security officer were now more vigilant to thwart any attempted attacks.

The suspected terrorists include: Habib Karongo aka Jureyi, Ahmed Said Omar, Issa Abdalla Kauni, Abubakar Abdikadir Abubakar, Faud Abubakar Mwanswab, Juma Were, Mohamed Tajir, Abdullahi Jarso Kotola, and Gufu Tari Gufu.

However, the Police Spokesperson urged Kenyans to be extra careful and provide important information to the police.

“We have to be careful and work with the security agencies to tame plans of these terrorists,” Kinoti emphasized.
