Kinyuru admitted that he was hired to kill the deceased led police to Kamae Forest where his body was found in a water fall.

The court heard that Macharia's relationship with his wife and son deteriorated after he married a second wife.

According to reports, after the marriage, the first family put pressure on the deceased to share his property.

The court was given evidence of meetings where strategies for eliminating the deceased were laid out called by the first accused and hosted by the second accused with the third, fifth and the seventh accused in attendance.

Justice Florence Muchemi ruled: "Coupled with the planning meetings and the manner in which the body was disposed of with view of concealing the crime, I come to a conclusion that the six (6) accused persons premeditated the killing of the deceased. I find that they had the intention to kill the deceased."

The judge also noted that serious wounds had been inflicted on Mr Macharia after his throat was cut in a transverse manner cutting off all the main blood vessels.

Waithera's son in-law testified that he loaned her Ksh5,000 after she asked him for Ksh10,000 which was suspected to have been the amount it cost to have Macharia murdered.
