Milimani Law Courts
On Monday, appearing before Milimani Law Courts Resident Magistrate Muthoni Nzibe, the 22-year-old man (Boniface Murage) pleaded guilty to the charge saying he was indeed escaping with the baby because he did not have money to settle the bill.
Embakasi East member of Parliament Babu Owino had also offered to help Murage by hiring lawyer Peter Omingo to represent the accused and cater for the expenses out of his own pocket.
The Magistrate ruled to have Murage remanded until Tuesday when the court will hear the charges preferred against him by the prosecution, after which he will be sentenced.
