Various towns across the country have been celebrating the news by singing and dancing in praise of their leader.

The places that have experienced the celebration vibe include Gatundu South Constituency, Hola Town, parts of Nairobi, Nakuru, Naivasha among other areas.

But as celebrations were going on in Jubilee Supporters locations, Nasa supporters also took to the streets to protest the result declared by IEBC chairperson.

In Kibera Slums in Nairobi, youths staged demonstration against the result announced at Bomas of Kenya.

Tension remains high in Mathare slums, Kawangware, Kangemi and other few areas in Nairobi as NASA supporters continue to differ with the out come.

The same situation has been reported in Kisumu, Siaya, and Homa Bay as NASA supporters have been on the streets protesting the results.

The government has requested people to remain calm and use the right channels to protest the outcome of the General election.

NASA Officials

Despite the outcome, Nasa officials have said that they will not challenge the presidential election in court as they have other options provided in the Constitution.

Nasa chief agent Musalia Mudavadi and James Orengo said that they were not part of the declaration process because their concerns had not been addressed by the commission.

Kenyans are waiting to see the next move that NASA will stage since they refused to be part of the announced result.

Uhuru Kenyatta

President Elect, Uhuru Kenyatta has asked Kenyans to remain calm and maintain peace across the country as he is ready to work with everybody.

During his speech at KICC, President Uhuru extended his hand of friendship to his able competitor from the NASA coalition saying in every race there must be a winner and a loser.

Don’t allow yourself to be used to cause chaos, stay calm and let peace prevail. Kenya is bigger than any individual.
