According to a report, the children will be vetted by the police officers and returned to home cares.

Confirming the arrest, Nairobi county police commander Japheth Koome stated that the children and a few adults had been locked across different police stations in Nairobi.

“There numbers have been increasing in the city center and they have been mugging and harassing people on the streets,” Mr Koome said.

The police commander said that the children would not be allowed back on the streets adding that they would be vetted and sent to home cares.
