Police have arrested a driver who was caught on camera assaulting a traffic marshal along Ngong Road, Nairobi.

The driver of KCT 730Q was apprehended at Gikambura, Kikuyu Constituency by Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives.
"DCI detectives based in Karen arrested the suspect; 41-year-old David Kariuki Kamurwa at Gikambura within Kikuyu.
"The Motor vehicle registration number KCT 730Q confiscated and a mobile phone which had earlier been robbed from the officer recovered. To be charged tomorrow [Friday]," a statement from DCI read in part.
Video went viral
David's incident with the officer was recorded by bystanders who also rescued the officers from the suspect's vehicle.
The video was widely shared on Twitter as some commentators called for the arrest of the violent driver.
