Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations have arrested several suspects believed to be members of a car theft syndicate who drug their victims before robbing them in Nairobi.

According to the DCI, the suspects, both male and female lace the drinks of their victims with drugs at drinking spots before proceeding to rob them.
The suspects identified as Francis Kinyanjui (53 years old), Gladys Wanjiku (36 yaers old) and 33year old Stephen Njoroge were apprehended at West View Plaza-Kahawa West.
Taking to Twitter, DCI disclosed that “3PEOPLE have been arrested at West View Plaza-Kahawa West, on Allegations of stealing M/Vehicles from the Public after stupefying ‘em during drinking in Clubs. They are: 53yo Francis Kinyanjui, 36yo Gladys Wanjiku & 33yo Stephen Njoroge. All in custody; to be arraigned on Monday.”
During the raid, police also recovered a Toyota Probox and assorted Psychotropic drugs suspected to be used by the gang uses in its operations.
Several phones and SIM cards believed to be stolen were also recovered from the suspects.
The suspects are in lawful police custody waiting to be processed and arraigned in court on Monday.
