The courts on Monday issued a decision on four Chinese nationals who were arrested over an assault incident against a Kenyan worker.

The four have been remanded for three days to allow further investigations by police.
Deng Hailan, the Chinese man who was caught on camera striking the Kenyan worker is among the four remandees.
The assault incident took place at Chez Wou restaurant in Kileleshwa, Nairobi County where Hailan works as a chef.
Illegal Chinese immigrants
According to a statement from DCI, all four immigrants do not hold the proper documentation for working in Kenya.
"The perpetrator, one Deng Hailan, a Chinese National who works at the hotel as a chef doesn’t have a work permit. Also arrested were two other chefs Chang Yueping & Ou Qiang who hold expired Visas. Chang holds a work permit but his compatriot doesn’t.
"Yu Ling, a cashier at the hotel holding a visitor’s visa but without a work permit was also arrested," DCI stated.
The eight Kenyans who work at the hotel recorded statements at Kilimani Police Station.
