"Jubilee has confirmed that it has no automatic Presidential candidate for 2022. I have therefore, decided to put my name there. Ama namna gani ma frens," Havi announced.
The DP did not take the challenge online, and welcomed the lawyer to start by formally joining the Jubilee Party.
"You are very welcome Havi start with membership its online," Ruto replied on Twitter.
The DP has in the past maintained that the Jubilee presidential ticket in 2022 was up for grabs to all Jubilee Party members.
He has also announced that in the event that he failed to get the ticket after taking part in a democratic nomination, he would campaign for his competitor and eventually retire from the political scene.
