Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU) boss Dr. Ouma Oluga has been elected President of the Health Workers For All Coalition.

Following the election, Dr. Oluga becomes president of all health workers across the world and will serve for a period of two years.
According to reports, the KMPDU Secretary General will co-chair the global organization together with Amanda Banda from Amsterdam.
Dr. Oluga displayed confidence that his new position would put Kenya on the global map as the coalition continues championing for universal access to skilled health workers.
He also disclosed that the election process was in three stages and he merged the winner.
The Health Workers For All Coalition was formed in 2018 during the 71st World Health Assembly and it advocates for universal access to skilled health workers across the world.
The organization comprises of members from the International Council of Nurses, World Medical Association, Public Service International, Médecins Sans Frontières, Ecumenical Pharmaceutical Network, Amref Health Africa and 30 working in human resources for health.
