Drama at Apostle James Ng'ang'a church lands worshipper in court on kidnapping charges

A worshipper from Apostle James Ng'anga's Neno Evangelism Centre was on Friday arraigned in court on kidnapping charges.

The 19-year-old woman, Dorcas Cheruto Wangila, was accused of abducting a nine-year-old girl during some commotion in the church on Thursday night.

Witnesses outlined that Dorcas, a house help, led away the girl after fellow worshippers begun falling down due to the "Holy Spirit".

The girl's mother noticed that her daughter was missing and raised alarm when she spotted her child being led away by Dorcas.

Apostle Ng'anga's sheep gone astray

Dorcas had allegedly left her purse with the watchman. She allegedly then asked the girl to accompany her to the gate where she would pick it.

Witnesses speculate that she wanted to the the girl back to her house in Githurai.

She pleaded for a lenient bail given her profession but was slapped with Sh500,000 with the option of Sh500,000 bond.
