Truth about reports of CS Magoha calling for university students to wear uniforms

Truth behind screengrab that's been shared online

Screengrab of CS George Magoha during his vetting that has been doctored

The Education Ministry has dismissed a screenshot circulating on social media claiming that CS George Magoha had asked varsity students to wear uniforms.

On Friday the tailored screenshot captured from Citizen TV when the CS was being vetted circulated online although it was not factual.

Ministry officials contacted by Pulselive.co.ke dismissed the screenshot and later the Education docket posted on it's Twitter asking Kenyans to ignore the propaganda.

"Public must ignore this cheap propaganda on social media. CS Magoha has never said this anywhere," the post read.

"Photo was taken during his vetting in Parliament where he said nothing like this. How low can malicious people get in their desperate attempt to muddy a shining public servant?" the tweet read in part.

Several people had shared the fake screengrab online and netizens had castigated the information with some believing it was factual.
