Speaking on Friday, the leaders expressed their annoyance in Deputy President William Ruto stating that he has been throwing insults at them.
They asked President Kenyatta to tame his deputy or else they would join the Opposition.
Mr. Moi divulged that: “We are expressing reckless statements from the Jubilee side, which is not safe for the two sides but I am meeting the president in person to discuss the matter".
The KANU chairman, who was speaking during the launch of a manifesto by Narok South aspiring MP – Silvester Ntutu - added that the DP was threatening leaders in the Rift Valley, something that could not be tolerated any longer.
“It is disheartening to see elected leaders threatened to the point they cannot express their views, the Deputy President should respect other leaders,” Moi mentioned.
Also at the meeting was Emurua Dikirr MP Johana Ngeno and Kanu Secretary General Nick Salat, who reiterated that DP Ruto ought to measure his words.
Mr. Ngeno vowed to ask his constituents to join the National Super Alliance (NASA) if Ruto will not be tamed.
"We are telling Uhuru to tame Samoei Ruto, if he doesn’t, we will divert our votes to NASA,” Ngeno noted.
The legislator warned Ruto to drop his ambition for the Presidency in the 2022 General Election as Moi was their choice.
"We have decided that our choice for the presidency in 2022 is Gideon Moi, I want to tell this guy to stop dreaming of the seat,” Ngeno was quoted by the Nation.
At the same time, Salat highlighted that President Kenyatta will lose the 50+1 win if Ruto does not stop creating a rift in the region.
