The enraged mob went on a rampage demonstrating against the results that have since been termed controversial.
Confirming the report Ms Odhimabo mentioned that: “It is true that my house has been destroyed by a mob that wanted to eliminate me for political reasons".
Speaking to journalists, the lawmaker divulged that her political rival, James Akali, was the man behind the burning.
Mr Akali was also contesting for the Mbita Parliamentary seat.
"The guy I defeated has been unleashing chaos on me since the beginning of the nomination process until now and his supporters are responsible for burning my house and this comes a day after they killed my bodyguard," Millie was quoted by Kenyans.co.ke.
Unverified reports indicated that several members of her campaign team were severely injured in the process but Odhiambo denied the claims.
The outspoken MP mentioned that the hired goons had also attempted to attack her while driving her vehicle.
"Earlier they intended to attack my vehicle at Koyani village but I evaded them, so they resorted to burning my house,” she said.
Millie disclosed that her opponents have been trying to eliminate her from the land handed to her by her sister.
"I was given that land by my sister but some of those people have been calling me a stranger. That is why they are looking for every means to harm me," the Mbita legislator noted.
