Speaking at Bomas on Thursday, Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula disclosed that they had a meeting on Wednesday that ended at 3:30 am trying to form the lineup that would face President Uhuru Kenyatta during the August 8 Election.

"For the past three days, we have locked ourselves in a room and we have made tremendous progress in arriving at our flag-bearer. The road is now clear. On April 27, we will announce the person to lead us.

"Like Wednesday, we met until 3.30am. We didn't even allow our aides or any other person in the meeting. We have bound ourselves to the agreement and none of us is walking out of NASA," Wetangula stated.

ODM leader Raila Odinga announced that they had launched pentagon movement which would unite all Kenyans.

"We re-launch The Pentagon today, a day when our journey towards an inclusive, tolerant, and vigorous nation that was cut short in 2013 when elections were stolen begins,” Odinga stated.

The principals who include Odinga, Wetangula, Kalonzo Musyoka and Musalia Mudavadi welcomed Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto as the fifth principal to the alliance.

"Today we welcome a fifth member. With Ruto on board, we have a new general particularly for our battle to protect and preserve devolution," Raila said.

On the other hand, Ruto assured the coalition they would win in the upcoming polls stating,” “Let us commit ourselves to a new country that will eliminate discrimination & ensure equal distribution of resources.”
