Fear has gripped residents of Sigowet/Soin Constituency in Kericho County after an MP aspirant went missing just hours before the Jubilee Party nominations.

Sigowet/Soin MP aspirant Ken Kuley disappeared on Thursday and his car found dumped in a ditch near the Sigowet market.
Kuley’s Subaru Forrester was found abandoned and vandalised creating panic among locals raising fears that he had been kidnapped.
The car's windows had been smashed although his phones were found inside his vehicle.
Kuley was last seen leaving his home for campaigns ahead of Friday's Jubilee Party nominations.
The county dispatched security officers and detectives to the scene where the aspirant's car was found and are currently conducting investigations into the matter.
Kuley is seeking to unseat the incumbent MP Justice Kemei on a Jubilee Party ticket.
Worrying trend
His disappearance is the latest in a worrying trend of cases of aspirants especially on a Jubilee Party ticket reportedly going missing under mysterious circumstances.
In the past week, two Jubilee politicians were allegedly abducted under mysterious circumstances and later found without knowing what had become of them.
Kabete parliamentary aspirant Charles Chege aka Chege Fresh was found near Hass Petrol Station in Narok Town last Sunday morning.
Chege’s statement to the police indicated that he was hidden in a house in an unknown location and fed with sleep-inducing drugs by his tormentors.
Ikinu ward of Githunguri Constituency MCA aspirant Kennedy Kinyanjui Kabaka earlier this week went missing and his car also found vandalised.
His personal effects including two of his mobile phones and cash were found intact inside his vehicle.
He later resurfaced hours after he was reported missing.
