Controversial businessman Jimmy Wanjigi has sent out a strong warning to Nation Media Group (NMG) journalists following an extensive exposé that brought to light some of his alleged unscrupulous deals.

On a Twitter handle bearing his names, Mr. Wanjigi who is alleged to be the sole financial sponsor of National Super Alliance's (NASA) campaigns, informed the NMG team that he had information on the individuals who penned the investigative article.

Last week, the media house published several articles on its paper - The Daily Nation- exposing the hidden deals of the tycoon who was previously named in one of Kenya's biggest corruption scandals - Anglo Leasing.

Political pundits questioned why the paper saw it fit to release the article at a time when the political heat was high with some highlighting that it was a strategy to discredit the Opposition's integrity ahead of the August 8 General Election.

However, in his reply to the article Mr. Wanjigi promised NMG that NASA will win the upcoming poll noting that the families of those who jotted the publications will regret.

"The @NationMediaGrp team attacking me, finally I've all your names. @NASA_Ke will rule the country & your families will gnash their teeth," the tweet read.

Plive.co.ke could not independently verify whether the Twitter handle belonged to Wanjigi.

Nonetheless, scrolling down the account's timeline there is a tweet posted on February where Wanjigi was rubbishing allegations that he had been blocked from conducting business in Tanzania by President John Magufuli.
