Speaking to a local daily, Kabogo, who is the new chairman of Kenya Alliance of Independent Candidates state, stated that he was done with Jubilee and would focus on his re-election bid.
“I have nothing to do with President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.
“I’m done with Jubilee, I am an independent candidate, and I won’t associate myself with other people’s party. Yes, I was in Jubilee, but the shambolic party primaries made me leave,” the Kiambu Governor was quoted by Nairobian.
The Governor opted to run as an independent candidate after he was trounced by Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu in the Jubilee nominations to clinch the Kiambu governor’s ticket.
Kabogo later claimed that the nominations were tampered with and linked DP Ruto to the bungled Jubilee nominations.

Meanwhile, the President and his deputy have been trying to get all independent candidates to work with those who emerged winners in Jubilee nominations.
