Speaking during a burial in Kangundo, Machakos County, Musyoka rubbished claims by Nyenze that the Kamba nation had been shortchanged in the NASA deal.
The former Vice President urged his community members to support Odinga during the August 8 General Election, in which he will be his running mate.
Kalonzo added that any leader planning to cause a rift in the Opposition should be denounced.
He further noted that the decision to let the former Prime Minister be the flag bearer was a tough one but had to be made after intense negotiations.
“Sometimes important decisions have to be made and when they do get made we of curse expect the country to move on.
“I want to tell all voters from this region to stand firm in support of my brother Odinga, as he is the only person with the requisite political experience to lead this country,” ”Musyoka said.
Earlier, Nyenze accompanied by other Kamba leaders held a press conference where they dissociated themselves from the NASA deal.
He noted that: “In my own opinion, the Kamba nation got a raw deal. It is good to be sincere, speak the truth and shame the devil.”.
"Mr Musyoka had assured us that he will not take anything less than the presidency and that is the message we passed to our people in Ukambani. How then do we go back and tell them that he will be deputy President?” Nyenze posed.
Kitui Senator David Musila, Makueni Women Representative Rose Museo, MP Daniel Maanzo and Kibwezi East MP Jessica Mbalu also expressed the same sentiments.
