Kalonzo, Wetangula rubbishes pollsters showing Raila most popular NASA leader

The recent Infotrak poll done among Nasa supporters showed that Raila Odinga was the most preferred flag bearer with 68.3 per cent.

Nasa leaders Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula have rubbished recent pollsters that show Raila Odinga is the most popular opposition candidate.

Speaking during a rally in Kilifi County, Wiper leader Kalonzo said that the opinion polls were engineered by corrupt organisations to please their corrupt bosses in NASA and Jubilee to shape the opinion of Kenyans.

During Ford Kenya rallies in Bisunu, Tulienge and Kosiandeti areas of Sirisia constituency on Sunday, Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula claimed Infotrack was being used by Jubilee to come up with numbers to confuse voters.

''We know it is Kenyans who will elect leaders, not influenced polls,” Wetangula said.

Kalonzo came a distant second at 13.1 per cent with Mudavadi third at 12.3 per cent and Wetangula last at 2.2 per cent.

Kalonzo went further to mention Ipsos, Synovate, Infotrack as the pollsters who “cook figures” aimed at misleading Kenyans.

He threatened to deal with the organisations to ensure justice.

Sampling method

He said polling companies should sample a minimum of 100,000 Kenyans in their polls to reflect the opinion of the people.

“We are going to deal with you mundu khu mundu (man to man) each time Kalonzo is given 10 per cent. I have been Vice President. I will not allow you to destroy Kenya. I will deal with you," Kalonzo said.

Controversial blogger Robert Alai claimed Kalonzo called Infotrak's CEO, Angela Ambitho on Friday where he threatened and intimidated her.

“Kalonzo was not happy but Angela told him that she can't cook figures. Kalonzo and Wetangula should accept the reality,” Alai wrote in his Facebook post.
