Kennedy Okore, sustained serious injuries after was run over by a vehicle when fracas emerged at Urianda Primary School, Lambwe ward where the primaries were ongoing.Trouble began when the MP's supporters clashed with those of her opponent James Akali.

According to the legislator, Akali's supporters attacked and began hurling stones at them when she arrived at the primary school to know why her supporters were being blocked from voting."I got several phone calls that my supporters were being deterred from entering the polling station. I rushed to check but when I reached the armed goons confronted and began hurling stones on us,” Millie stated.The two groups pounced on each other with blows and crude weapons before the bodyguard was ran over by the vehicle.

The 37-year-old succumbed to injuries at a nearby hospital she was rushed to while the MP calimed to have sustained injuries too. However, Akali, who is eyeing the ODM ticket refuted the allegations stating that Millie had sensed defeat and that he was not involved in the incident.“Millie is looking for sympathy votes after sensing defeat. She Is fond of accusing me for no reasons,” Akali said.Homa Bay police commander John Omusanga noted that investigations into the murder of the bodyguard had begun and what transpired.
