Nkaissery had earlier warned the National Super Alliance (NASA) against telling Kenyans that they will win the August poll with a whopping 10 million votes.
The CS stated that such sentiments would only incite Kenyans and instructed the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) chairman Francis Ole Kaparo to order politicians to drop the 10 million vote victory slogan.
Mr. Nkaissery went ahead to post on social media a late night warning message to the NASA flag bearer.
In response, the ODM leader rubbished Nkaissery’s orders noting that: “We have no apology to make to anyone. NCIC is a tool of Jubilee. We have not broken any law by saying we have more than 10 million votes”.
At the same time, the former Prime Minister accused the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) of using underhanded methods in deploying the county and constituency returning officers.
Mr. Odinga insisted that the process was not transparent and inclusive.
"There are instances where officers come from the same area while others have been redeployed. This is unacceptable,” Odinga highlighted.
