According to reports the banner that had been erected at Karatina town was destroyed by unknown people.
The billboard displaying the image of Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka had been mounted two days ago at the heart of Karatina town, a perceived Jubilee Party stronghold.
Mathira parliamentary seat ODM candidate, Chris Maina Kiruta, has condemned the incident, saying that each and every candidate has the right to a campaign in every part of the country regardless of their tribe.
He alleged that the banner was destroyed by their Jubilee opponents to taint the image of Raila Odinga but they are sure they will emerge victorious in the August 8.
Maina also urged the NASA and Jubilee supporters to maintain peace during and after the elections saying Kenyans should embrace the leader who will be elected.
In 2007, Raila was also kicked out of a hotel by a businesswoman in the area.
