ODM leader Raila Odinga’s brother, Oburu Oginga has been defeated in the ODM nominations for Bondo parliamentary seat.

Oginga was trounced by Gideon Ochanda who garnered 28,446 against his 4,000 votes to clinch the ODM ticket for Bondo.

Meanwhile, National Assembly deputy minority leader Jakoyo Midiwo was also defeated by Siaya politician Elisha Odhiambo in the ODM primaries.

Odhiambo was on Wednesday declared the winner of the Gem ODM primaries by returning officer Willis Anayo.

According to the final tally, Odhiambo garnered 13,400 votes against Midiwo’s 8,900 votes.
