Kenyatta attended a political rally at Masimba High School in the County, a move that was against Matiang'i’s directive banning political rallies in education institutions across the county.
The Head of State was hosted by Kisii aspiring aspirant Senator Chris Obure, who is vying on a Jubilee ticket.
Last month Matiangi directed politicians not to hold political rallies on school grounds and also stated that school buses should not be used to ferry people to political rallies.
The CS mentioned that: "We should not create unnecessary anxiety and disruption of school programmes by allowing political rallies in schools".
The stalwart CS further instructed school head to ensure safety of students and school property especially during the campaign season.
“We want to secure our children’s future. They should not be victims of political violence which we have seen occurring across the country,” he said.
