Uhuru embarrasses Ruto in public

President Uhuru made surprise remarks regarding Ruto in his own backyard

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday made surprise remarks regarding Bomet Governor Issac Rutto while attending Jubilee candidate Joyce Laboso’s manifesto launch in Bomet County.

The Head Of State said that he does not recognize any other 'Ruto' other than the Deputy President himself, William Ruto.

Uhuru made the remarks while criticizing the Governor-cum-NASA Co-Prinicipal who he termed as an impediment to projects aimed at helping residents of the county.

He wooed the residents to give him a second term in the upcoming elections and to make history by electing the first woman governor in the country.

“I want you to support us in getting a second term and in 2022, we will all join hands in ensuring Ruto takes over,” he said.

President Kenyatta also promised the residents that his government would soon begin constructing the Bomet Varsity, a project which he said was facing issues as Rutto had sought to block its construction.

This was the first time that Uhuru was making a return to the County in the absence of Ruto, hardly two weeks after they campaigned in the region.

Hundreds of supporters however questioned DP Ruto’s absence with some of them questioning the President on his whereabouts. In his response, Uhuru said that his running mate was at the Coast campaigning for Jubilee.
