Speaking on Tuesday during his two-day two of the Gusii region, Kenyatta stated that Odinga did nothing for them while he was in government.The Head of State urged residents in Nyamira to vote for Jubilee in the upcoming polls stating that the National Super Alliance (NASA) principals Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi had nothing to offer them.''The Nasa people should not come and deceive you. Ask them what they did when they were in government,” Kenyatta said.

The President, who was accompanied by his deputy William Ruto, said that NASA principals had a combined experience of over 100 years in government yet they struggled to show their development agendaThe Head of State told the residents that the Jubilee administration had allocated Sh22 billion for the construction of 400 kilometres of road in the region."We have not neglected you. We have given you a cabinet minister Fred Matiang'i and the chief justice David Maraga,” he said.

Uhuru sentiments come barely hours after declaring he and Odinga enjoyed a good relationship maintaining that politics was not enmity.ODM elected leaders led by governors John Nyagarama (Nyamira) and James Ongwae (Kisii) snubbed the president's events.

The President was welcomed by Senator Chris Obure and other leaders from the area who had ditched the Opposition for Jubilee.
