According to a local daily, Jomo will now be part of the Kenyatta’s re-election campaign team that will help to verify, tally and relay the Presidential results.

“They are also discussing how to mobilise supporters to ensure a high turnout, especially among the youthful voters,” the source was quoted by the Star.

The President’s team has been divided into six core units which will spearhead his campaign as he seeks a second term in office.

The units include Strategy and Theme Advisers, Political, Professionals, Communication and Messaging, and the Women’s and Youth grassroots caucuses.

The team will also establish parallel tallying center during the August polls to verify presidential results, which NASA is also planning to do.

NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga had maintained that they would have the parallel centers to guard their votes during the polls.

The president’s son hit the headlines in 2016 after he tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Fiona Achola Ngobi, the granddaughter of the late Dr William Odongo Omamo.
