Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho has termed President Uhuru Kenyatta a political tourist because of his recent visits to the Coast region.
Speaking in Mariakani on Thursday during the NASA rally, Joho told Uhuru to accept that he is a 'stepfather' because of taking credit for projects that were initiated during the grand coalition Government.
The Mombasa Governor was referring to the SGR and Mariakani–Mavueni road that were recently launched by the President. The Governor advised Coast residents to take Uhuru's money during his visits to the region but to vote for NASA during the August 8 Elections.“When Uhuru visits the Coast, let him know that he is coming as a tourist. He has a lot of money for you to take. Take the money and vote Jubilee out. "When you marry a lady who has a child from a previous relationship, accept that you are a stepfather because you did not sire that child,” Joho was quoted by the Star.In the recent past, Joho and the Head of State have clashed over projects completed by the Jubilee administration.
