Two tourists who had been accused of filming a Kenyan lady naked failed to appear in court for their hearing.

The foreigners identified as Zerbin Sascha Waldermar, who is German, and Wectabe Shestavetskyi, a Ukrainian, had been set to appear at the Shanzu court for a second hearing after being charged with the offence three months ago.

Reports had indicated that both suspects had left the country with Sascha stated to have travelled to Germany to visit his sick mother.

Wectabe on the other hand had been proclaimed to have left Kenya by bus through the Kenya- Tanzania border for unknown reasons.

Following their absence, a warrant of arrest was issued for the criminals.

Sources had revealed that the German national had written to the court to inform it of his sudden departure.

“I apologise for not being able to be present at this second hearing date of April 15. Unfortunately, I have travelled to see my mother who lives in Frankfurt, Germany after she was diagnosed with a terminal illness and had to seek treatment,” read a part of the document.

During their hearing in January, the court heard that the two intentionally and unlawfully undressed a woman only identified by her initials, YMN and proceeded to take nude photos of her against her will.

Information presented at the court pointed out that the incident happened at the Kenya Medical Association Apartments in Mtwapa.

Lady met foreigners on an online dating site

According to the charge sheet, the lady claimed to have met Marius on an online dating site where they later agreed to meet up.

YMN narrated that Marius and his friend invited her to their apartment where they had drinks and ate on the day of the occurrence.

When she insisted to leave, the suspects allegedly stripped her and threw her clothes out of the apartment the one of the men held her down as the other took the compromising film and photos.
