The dramatic arrest is said to be connected to an ongoing tussle with his elder brother Gitahi Gethenji over a Sh20 billion estate.
The elder Gethenji has been fighting for the controlling stake at the estate, described in court papers as Kihingo Village (Waridi Gardens) Limited and Kihingo Village (Waridi) Management One Limited (KVWGML).
Court ruling on Gethenji family feud
Slightly over a week ago, Lady Justice Loise Komingoi and Lady Justice Margaret Muigai directed that controlling stake in the estate should remain with Nding'u.
The suit established that Ndung'u took out a Sh800 million loan with the defunct Commercial Bank of Africa (CBA) to set up the high-end houses in Kitusuru, Nairobi.
