Speaking during the prayer day event at St Stephen’s Church along Jogoo Road Nairobi ahead of tomorrow’s Labor Day celebrations, Atwoli has accused President Uhuru of being too lenient in his administration.

“Kuna watu wengi sana wakora wako karibu na yeye. Na nilimwambia, asiwe mtu wa kusema yes kwa kila kitu. Hata hivyo napenda wakati mwingine the way anafanya mambo yake. Like what happened with the doctors’ strike,” he said.

Loosely translated: “There are so many ad people around the president. And I told him not be a yes person all the time and on everything. However, at some point, I like the way he handles issues, especially the chaotic doctors’ strike.”

At the same time, Atwoli has moved to expose a top Opposition leader within the National Super Alliance (NASA) for having written a message to criticise him of his works, yet he is looking for votes.

“He send me a message telling me how much he hates me. That Atwoli you are the person I hate most. So I was wondering, if you are looking for votes, why can’t you come so that we can talk and see where we can place you as workers,” he said.

Recently, however, President Uhuru Kenyatta promised a 22 per cent salary increase to all public servants, just two months before the full implementation of the Sh 100 billion salary increase that was mapped for all public servants in the latest budget appropriations.
