Moses Kuria reveals the toilet Sonko and Waititu used to smoke bhang

Gatundu South MP Kuria discloses toilet used after Sonko confession

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria during a past public address

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria on Thursday claimed Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko and Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu used a toilet in parliament to smoke bhang.

Kuria through his facebook account, alleged that the toilet used by the two leaders was the same one that was stated by Kiambu Woman Representative Gathoni wa Muchomba, to have been used to give out a bribe of Sh10,000.

The controversial MP, questioned former speaker of the National Assembly Kenneth Marende and current speaker Justin Muturi, over their silence hours after the confession by Sonko.

“24 hours later, neither has Kenneth Marende nor JB Muturi issued a statement about the confessions by our leading government chemists Governors Sonko and Waititu about what they were doing in that toilet. It is the same toilet that is used for Ksh 10,000 bribes as per Hon Gathoni wa Muchomba. IG Joseph Boinett is yet to ask the 2 governors to record a statement with anti-narcotics unit. Or may be Parliamentary immunity includes drugs and murder? What message are we sending? Really!!” asked Kuria.

Governor Sonko claims Waititu smoked bhang

Reaction by the lawmaker comes hours after Sonko had confessed on Citizen TV’s JKLive show that he smoked marijuana with the Kiambu County boss in a toilet, when Waititu was a Member of Parliament.

Governor Sonko had claimed that he was a witness to the act.

“"He used to smoke a lot of bhang when he was an MP, I'm a witness to this, we used to go to a certain toilet there... we used to smoke a lot of bhang with this guy," remarked Sonko.

He had further alleged that Waititu used to hide the substance in his socks and was still an active smoker of the drug.
