An aspiring Member of Parliament affiliated to the Jubilee Party was on Tuesday morning rushed to the Nairobi Hospital following a road accident in Ruiru, Kiambu.

Gichuki Mugambi, who is seeking to be the MP for Othaya constituency, was badly injured after his car was involved in a head on collision.

Doctors attending to Mr Mugambi told a local daily that his leg was badly injured during the 1 am incident. Nonetheless, he is in stable condition.

Two others who were also involved in the accident were rushed to the hospital.

This comes days after a parliamentary aspirant for the Kitutu Chache, Leonard MWamba was killed in a road crash.
