Lawyer claims DP Ruto, wants him dead, a week after Boniface made similar claims
Boniface Mwangi's lawyer now claims the DP, William Ruto also wants to assasinate him.

Former Imenti central MP, Gitobu Imanyara who represents Boniface Mwangi has told police he fears for his life following threats from security officers he claims are attached to the deputy president.
“I have today (Friday) made a report and given my statement regarding last nights (last Thursday) threats to me by armed security personnel attached to the office of the DP under the OB (Occurrence Book) at kilimani police station” Imanyara told a local daily.
Kilimani Directorate of criminal invistigations office (DCIO), Phylis Kanani confirmed indeed the lawyer had recorded the statement and police were carrying out investigations.

“He (Imanyara) came and made a report, which is the subject of our investigations. We want to know the origin of the message and motive. But let’s treat the matter carefully because it could be a hoax” Ms Kanani said.
She added that police officers were liaising with leading Communications Company to trace the origin of the threatening text messages send to Imanyara’s phone.
Imanyara has been on Ruto crosshairs after representing Boniface mwangi last year in a case which the William Ruto is suing Boniface Mwangi for defamation for linking him to the murder of business man, Jacob Juma.
Early this month, Imanyara again grabbed the headlines by representing Prisca Chemutai, who has sued the deputy president for child support.
William Ruto later admitted to having extra-marital affair by fathering a child with the middle aged woman.

Some critics of the lawyer however claim Mr. Imanyara is just a political puppet being used to taint the deputy president’s name.
