Kivutha accused Mutula and Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina of using the Senate's Public Accounts Committee to soil his name.
According to reports by the People Daily, the governor dismissed a document that had allegedly linked him to graft.
Kibwana dismissed the petition which was alleged to be from a Makueni resident that had Kibwana linked to corruption.
Invite for an Audit
"We have seen a document in circulation which has apparently been tabled at the Senate sittings by Senator Ledama ole Kina purporting to have received the petition from residents of Makueni," governor Kibwana said.
On Thursday, the Senate County Public Accounts and Investments (CPAIC) invited the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) detectives to investigate Governor Kibwana over the award of 12 multi-million projects.
The Senate watchdog committee summoned Kibwana after he snubbed an invitation to answer to audit queries.
The Committee chairman Moses Kajwang forwarded the dossier to the anti-graft agency and recommended immediate probe to unearth the alleged loss of funds.
