In the past days, there have been advertisements for data clerk entry vacancies at the ministry’s ICT department.

The ads were sent by one Perminus Wainaina who posed as the head of the department.

Through the Ministry’s communication officer Kennedy Buhere, the CS warned the public that there were no such vacancies.

“The Ministry of Education does not have any programme that has forced it to employ staff to manage it, nor does it have any staff member by the name Perminus Wainaina in its ICT department,” Mr Buhere noted.

Buhere added: "The Ministry of Education wishes to inform members of the public that it does not have any programme which necessitates recruitment of temporary staff".

In the publication, Mr Wainaina urged Kenyans to apply for the job, which will require them to part with Sh2000 in order to purchase a uniform.

The Ministry further stated that the man was a con duping unsuspecting Kenyans.
