Chairman Wafula Chebukati made the announcement as he dismissed some dates which reported.
Local media reports had claimed that the three IEBC commissioners had failed to agree on a date for the by-election, reports which Chebuati termed as malicious.
False announcements
A tweet posted on Chebukati's account read: "Reports by a section of the media regarding upcoming by-election dates are inaccurate and malicious."
The message further stated: "Relevant notices have been submitted for gazetting accordingly."
The Supreme Court, on December 2018, nullified the election of MPs Christopher Karan (Ugenya) and Julius Mawathe (Embakasi South).
Tough opposition
It is expected that the two by-elections will be hotly contested as various political parties are expected to campaign for their candidates.
Mr Karan will be the ODM candidate as the party announced it will not hold any nominations.
He will, however, face opposition from Daniel Juma who suffered a blow after ODM secretary general Edwin Sifuna announced that the party will not be conducting fresh nominations.
In Embakasi South constituency Mr Mawathe will be facing off with former MP Irshad Sumra who is an ODM candidate while the former is a Wiper Party candidate.
