Speaking during an interview at the Bomas of Kenya, Mr. Chiloba divulged that the IEBC followed up on the issue which caused an uproar among Kenyans on social media.
The exercise book belonging to Bulla Dadacha polling center in Mandera County was spotted by hawk-eyed Kenyans on Twitter.
However, addressing the matter Chiloba stated that the presiding officer had contacted them to explain the situation he was in.
"We followed up that issue of the exercise book to find out what happened with the pressing officer. He wrote to us a letter explaining that after they had done the tallying and completed everything he wrote the results on the exercise book and went ahead in what he said he was testing. Only to realize later on you cannot test once you lock it you look it up," he said.
The CEO mentioned that the presiding officer later presented the original form 34A.
Chiloba stated that the Commission was ready to face the National Super Alliance (NASA) at the Supreme Court, where the Opposition leaders are challenging the credibility of the General Election which saw President Uhuru Kenyatta declared the winner.
