Photographs seen by Pulselive.co.ke showed the DP in the company of Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago, Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi and Soy lawmaker Caleb Kositany.
The DP was among other people sitting on a bench holding a gourd and cup which are used to store and serve traditional sour milk popularly known as mursik.

It is not, however, clear whether Dr Ruto attended the ceremony in support for his brother or as a negotiator in the dowry ceremony.
Dowry negotiation ceremony is dubbed Koito in Kalenjin and it is attended by community elders.
The groom is usually kept away from the ceremony until the negotiation is complete.
