Slain Catholic priest Eutychus Murangiri.

25-year-old Janice Ntinyari has opened up on her steamy love affair with father Eutychus Murangiri, revealing the details of what happened moments before the Catholic priest was stabbed to death.

In a candid interview with The Standard, Janice revealed that she met her slain lover for a much-awaited night of fun, romance and revelry that was the norm every other Monday when the priest was off-duty.

The two met in Meru town and proceeded to a club in Makutano where drinks flowed freely with romance in the air as the Catholic priest gave his lover rare good time that the two had always treasured since 2013 when the affair began.

On this day, father Murangiri was in very high spirits and was out to spoil the soon-to-be mother of his child, even introducing Ntinyari who was five months pregnant to some of his friends.

What the priest did not know is that the pregnancy was not his.

“The man responsible is a teacher I met when l was in Kajiado where my family had set up a new business,” Janice confirmed.

“The priest did not know this was not his child. The other man is a teacher from Western currently practicing in Embu. She added.

In readiness for more fun at night, Janice had even booked a room at the Kinoru Gateway Hotel where they would spend the night, just like in many other previous occasions.

The lovebirds had fun drinking at the club from 1 PM to around 10 PM when Janice decided to retreat to the comfort of the hotel room she had booked earlier where she was to spend the night with priest, leaving him with a childhood friend.

“We were together but l was too tired and l had to go to bed to rest. I asked them to excuse me before l checked to the room,” Ntinyari said.

Two hours later, She was woken up by the hotel manager who informed her that her companion had been stabbed.

Police reports indicate that the priest was killed as he walked back to his car after a night of fun.

Perhaps to keep the affair away from his flock in the church, father Murangiri would drive for 40 Kilometers from Limbine in Tigania West to Meru town while Ntinyari would also travel 30 kilometers from Nkubu to Meru.

“He would drive from Limbine in Tigania West in his Toyota Camry while I would use public transport from Nkubu for our Meru meetings,”Janice confirmed.

Investigations have been launched to establish what happened on the day father Murangiri met his death.

The slain priest’s family has maintained that there was no romantic relationship between the deceased and Janice.
