Jobless First-Class graduate Ruth Chemutai Rono on Friday accepted a job offer that was facilitated by the Office of the President.

Ms Rono accepted an employment offer from the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC).

Her plight came to public light through social media and ended up receiving over 20 job offers some with housing perks.

Job seeking for over 4 years

Ruth revealed that she has been searching for a job for four years since she graduated from Chuka University.

The graduate of Economics and Statistics took up the role of sole bread-winner after her father allegedly ran off and her mother became deathly ill.

Chemutai had also received a human resources manager offer at Seven Meals Limited, a non-governmental firm headquartered in Utawala.

"Three of her siblings are in primary school. We will fly them to Nairobi and they will be enrolled at Lakewood Premier School in Utawala, where my children study.

"The 2-bedroomed house that we have rented for her for the next 6 months in Utawala, will house her and her siblings," the firm's founder Charles Muriuki offered.
