The postmortem was conducted by government pathologist Johansen Oduor, private pathologists Dr Bessie Byakika and Dr Andrew Gachie.According to medical terms, the late Nkaissery died of acute myocardial infarction.

“He suffered an acute heart attack occasioned by a compromised vessel taking blood to the heart.

“There is no evidence of foul play at this stage but further tests will be conducted to tell us more," family pathologist Byakika stated. Kenyans were shocked on Saturday morning after they woke up to the news that the former General had passed away.Prior to his unexpected demise, the CS looked healthy and had on the previous day attended a prayer rally at Uhuru Park where President Uhuru Kenyatta was in attendance.
