This has put Kenya on a collision course with the global communication giants with Youtube being the latest to rub the government the wrong way.
ICT Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru has singled out “The Fifth Estate” video channel on Youtube run by controversial political scientist Mutahi Ngunyi.
Mucheru says the government has requested Google to pull down “The Fifth Estate” latest video which alleges that the late Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery was assassinated.
The video posted 5 days ago already has nearly 200,000 views.
Titled “Was Nkaissery Assasinated? Who benefits?” the nine minute-long video revolves around Ngunyi’s hypotheses of Nkaissery’s death and his “assassination”.
On July 8, Ngunyi tweeted that Nkaissery was assasinated.
However, a post mortem done on the late CS revealed that he died of a heart attack.
Results of the post mortem showed no evidence of foul play, family pathologists said.
Dr Byakika Bissie, the family pathologist told journalists that Nkaissery “suffered an acute fatal heart attack as a result of a compromised blood vessel to the heart.”
The post mortem was conducted by the government pathologist in the presence of two family pathologists, two family doctors, the family lawyer and a family member.
