Judy Wangui, one of the suspects in the murder of Mary Wambui Kamangara told the court that police inserted pepper in her private parts.

Court proceedings

Ms Wangui told Senior Principal Magistrate Stella Atambo that the assault was not addressed even after she reported it to the OCS.

During the proceedings, Wangui appealed to the Magistrate to have her released on bond following the alleged assault.

However, the State objected to the application terming it as unconstitutional and unreasonable.

On Wednesday, Ms Wangui together with Ms Wambui's husband Joseph Kori and a taxi operator Michael Githae was expected to take a plea at the Kiambu Law Courts.

Homicide

However, the homicide detective who took over the case asked the court to give him more time to conclusively finalize the case before charging the three suspects.

According to police, Githae had helped Wangui dispose of Ms Wambui's body which detectives said was a crime.

Wangui is alleged to have told sleuths that Kori had offered her Ksh2 million to murder his wife since they were having an affair.

However, detectives said that Kori was not with Wangui the day the murder is suspected to have happened at the latter's house which the former paid Ksh60,000 rent a month.

Forensic data and car-tracking solutions collected indicated that Kori was in Ngong, 40 Kilometres away from the Fourways apartment where his wife was murdered.
