The electoral body discovered two controversies in Juma’s papers leading to the immediate decision.
According to Chebukati the presidential aspirant’s proposers were not members of his Justice and Freedom Party.
“We find the list of supporters is not signed. Your proposer also belongs to Jubilee," Chebukati said at the KICC in Nairobi on Monday.
The IEBC boss noted that Juma’s running mate also had certificates that were not certified.
“Your degree certificate and that of your running mate are not certified...and therefore I reject your application as a presidential candidate," he mentioned.
Mr Chebukati gave Juma until the end of the day to put his papers in order.
At the same time, another presidential aspirant identified as Erastus Nyamera also flopped the IEBC test after failing to present running mate, the required signatures and Sh200,000 cheque.
“He had no running mate, no evidence of a university degree, list of supporters does not meet the constitutional threshold and had not paid nomination fee. His nomination was rejected when he appeared before IEBC at KICC, Nairobi today at 1:00 pm,” IEBC said in a post.
