In an interview aired on Wednesday, the family said that the man who had been identified as Paul Manyasi is not their son.
The family has revealed their son was called Cedrick Shivanji and not Paul Manyasi as reported by Sky news.
During the interview with Sky News, the two identified themselves as Isaac Manyasi andJanet Manyasi but during the KTN interview their son Brian Beti, a brother to the alleged victim identified his parents as Isaack Beti and Janet Khakali.
Contradicting stories
The family admitted to speaking with Sky News but maintained that their son left the village in 2017 and they don't know where he has been.
According to the family, during the interview with Sky News they denied that was their son although when the interview was aired they are on camera admitting that Paul Manyasi is their child.
Paul, who was 29, was a cleaner for Colnet company at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi. He hailed from Namakara village, Malava, Constituency.
In an interview by a Sky News reporter, the cleaner’s girlfriend said Paul reported to work on the day but disappeared.
Denial from KAA & Colnet
The Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) has, however, denied reports that Paul worked at JKIA.
Colnet Managing Partner Chege Kariuki has also denied links to Paul saying that the company had submitted employee records to investigators and no person named Paul Manyasi was found.
