Preliminary Presidential results show that the Mr. Kenyatta is leading with a whopping 8 million votes while his arch rival Raila Odinga is second with 6.6 million votes.

However, before the official declaration, the country needs to wait for the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to tally the results against the form 34A as required by law.

Nonetheless, Mr. Kenyatta’s Jubilee party is anticipating victory in the General Election and the party’s secretariat Raphael Tuju disclosed to journalists the first step the Head of state will take once declared the winner.

Speaking at the National tallying center in Bomas of Kenya, Mr. Tuju mentioned that President Kenyatta will first and foremost reach out to leaders of the National Super Alliance (NASA).

The former Rarieda MP noted that President Kenyatta’s priority will be to unite the country.

"If they are announced in our favour the first step which I am sure the President will be taking will be to reach out to our brothers and sisters who are from NASA so that we can consolidate and make sure that this country moves forward in unity away from the divisive politics which have featured in the last couple of days,” Tuju said.
