Kenya records 72 Covid-19 recoveries as cases rise to 35103

Hope of flattening the Covid-19 curve in sight

83 people have tested positive for Covid-19 over the last 24 hours, bringing the total tally to 35103.

The new infections came from 3093 samples that were tested over the same period.

Total samples so far tested stand at 474477.

Males continue to bear the brunt of the virus with 58 of the new cases being males compare to 25 who are females.

77 of the new infections are Kenyans while 6 are foreigners.

Over the same period, 72 people were discharged from various hospitals and home-based care.

39 of the new recoveries came from the home-based care programme while 33 were discharged from various hospitals around the county.

Total recoveries currently stand 21230.

Over the same period of 24 hours 3 people succumbed to the virus, raising the total fatality to 597.
