Kenyan rugby player Tony Onyango is dead.

Reports indicate that Onyango collapsed and died on Tuesday night while at his home in Ngong.

Onyango was playing for KCB and had been practicing with the team ahead of the Kenya Cup tournament set for this coming weekend.

Kenya Rugby Union issued a statement following the death of Onyango.

We join the entire Kenyan rugby fraternity in mourning Tony Onyango Opondo of KCB Rugby Club who passed away on Tuesday 3 March 2020,” the Union stated.

Rugby fans took to social media to mourn the death of Onyango remembering highlights of his career and moments they shared with the player.
